Built to transform the very perception of the future as we know it, the unique structure accommodates several immersive future environments that aim to position visitors in an empowering version of the future. Home to unparalleled themes designed and crafted by the world’s leading product, exhibition and experience designers, MOTF explores the future of space travel and living, climate change and ecology, health, wellness, and spirituality amongst many others.

Dubai Frame: This landmark is an iconic structure that ‘frames’ impressive views of Old and New Dubai, while serving as a metaphorical bridge connecting the emirate’s rich past with its magnificent present. Offering spectacular panoramic views across the city, Dubai Frame celebrates the story of Dubai from its early establishment to its ambitious plans for future development. The visitor journey at Dubai Frame comprises three distinct experiences designed to represent the past, present, and future of Dubai. Following a brief exhibition on the construction of the monument, guests are welcomed to the ‘Old Gallery,’ a multimedia exhibition charting the city’s rapid transformation from a center for trading and fishing to a thriving modern metropolis, with fascinating insights on Emirati heritage. 3D projections and special effects all contribute to the multi-sensory experience, which brings the sights, sounds and smells of ‘Old Dubai’ to life. A high-speed elevator ride then carries visitors to the Sky bridge level, a 150-meter-high viewing platform with breathtaking 360° views of the city.

DAY 5 – DUBAI – AL AIN – DUBAI

Al Ain City Tour – Full Day

Al Ain Palace Museum: This site was home to the Founding Father of the UAE and the first President of the country, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who lived here with his family until the late sixties when he moved to Abu Dhabi. The palace and private residence provide insights into the lives and culture of both the ruling family and the community until the country’s transformation after the discovery of petroleum. The oldest building in the palace dated back to 1937. The palace was renovated in 1998 and opened its doors as a tourist and cultural museum in 2001.

Walk through Al Ain Oasis: Take a walk through the shaded pathways and reconnect with nature in the lush greenery of Al Ain Oasis – a peaceful retreat spread across 1,200 hectares in the ‘Green City’ of Al Ain. Located just a 90-minute drive from the capital city of Abu Dhabi, it is easy to forget that you are in a desert. This magnificent oasis is a dreamy sight for sore eyes and one of the most beautiful oases Abu Dhabi has. Here you can enjoy a bit of respite from city life and appreciate 147,000 date palm trees, over 100 different varieties of vegetation and relics of the past, like the ancient irrigation system known as falaj. The falaj is an essential piece of the region’s heritage and one of the many reasons why Al Ain is a UNESCO Cultural Site.

Explore the Al Jahili Fort : Al Jahili is one of the largest forts in the UAE, built in the 1890s on the orders of Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, also known as Zayed the First, as the home to members of the ruling Al Nahyan family. Since opening its gates in 2008, it has been a focal point of activities associated with the philosophy, culture and heritage of Abu Dhabi. Transformed into a cultural centre and tourist attraction, it now houses a temporary exhibition gallery as well as a permanent exhibition devoted to Sir Wilfred Thesiger. He was an intrepid explorer, travel writer and photographer who, with his Emirati and Omani companions, crossed the world’s largest sand mass, the Empty Quarter (Rub’ al Khali), twice in the 1940s.

Visit Qasr Al Muwaiji : There is an old saying that ’walls have ears’. Imagine what stories the walls of Qasr Al Muwaiji would tell, if they could, from more than 100 years ago. Add this historical stop to your itinerary for a deeper insight into the UAE’s intriguing past. Situated in Al Ain, you will be amazed as you enter this simple yet striking structure at how the country has evolved from its humble beginnings. The palace eventually coexisted as a home and administrative base for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the UAE, when he became the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region in 1946. His eldest son, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, was born here two years later and spent much of his youth there, learning from his father.

Lunch at Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet with photo opportunity: Hotel for travelers looking for local and authentic experiences. Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet is a unique mountain oasis resort at the top of historical Jebel Hafeet at the lofty height of 3,000 feet. Al Ain is the second largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and also known as “The Garden city” as more than 30 gardens and parks are located there. Jebel Hafeet mountain is the highest peak in the country and an important tourist attraction. The summit rises more than 4000 feet (1219 m), and the air on the peak is cooler and fresher than the plain below.
