Itinerary

OPTION 1 – SPLENDID CROATIA FROM ZAGREB TO SPLIT

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN ZAGREB (THURSDAY)

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner
is on us tonight.

Accommodation: Zagreb for 2 nights

DAY 2 – ZAGREB (FRIDAY)

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour that takes us through the historic Upper Town. We see St. Mark’s

Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament, and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town or perhaps take an optional excursion into the countryside.

DAY 3 – ZAGREB – PLITVICE LAKES – SPLIT (SATURDAY)

We will head south for a visit to the magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder with its 16 terraced lakes surrounded by forested mountains and lush vegetation. A walking tour takes us around several of the lower lakes. After our visit, we will continue our drive to Split harbor, where embarkation begins at 1:00 p.m. Get settled in your cabin before attending a welcome reception followed by dinner this evening.

DAY 4 – SPLIT – BOL – JELSA (SUNDAY)

Morning sail towards Bol on Brač Island, where you will discover one of the most beautiful
beaches in the entire Mediterranean – “Zlatni Rat” (the Golden Horn), which is constantly
changing its shape due to the ocean currents. Swim stop if weather permits. Return to the ship for lunch and set sail for Jelsa on the island of Hvar. One of the most picturesque towns on the island of Hvar; Jelsa is nestled in amongst hills dense with pine woods. The town quay extends all the way around the harbour with numerous laid moorings. Walk around old stone street, squares, see churches, and parks. Enjoy a coffee in the main square and the Mediterranean atmosphere of this bustling town. Your evening is free to explore Jelsa on your own.

DAY 5 – JELSA – KORČULA (MONDAY)

Early in the morning we set sail to the island of Korčula, with a swimming stop, weather
permitting, in one of the pristine bays, time to relax and lunch on board. Continue towards
Korčula, the most preserved medieval town, and birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo.

Take a walking tour of Korčula which takes you through its narrow, cobbled streets full of history and enjoy wine tasting in one of the local wine bars. Evening is free to explore the town on your own.

DAY 6 – KORČULA – DUBROVNIK (TUESDAY)

In the morning, sail to Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival in Dubrovnik, you will enjoy a guided tour of the historical centre of Dubrovnik, walk through Stradun – both a street and a square, the most famous place inside the town walls, where your guide will show you the most interesting sights of Dubrovnik. After the city tour, you will be on your own to explore the city, visit the City Walls, the Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s second oldest pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace, and the Cathedral, or take a boat ride to Lokrum island or take the cable car to Mount Srđ. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 7 – DUBROVNIK – MLJET NATIONAL PARK (WEDNESDAY)

In the morning head further north to the Island of Mljet. Mljet National Park encompasses five types of forest, many species of birds and two deep lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake). Join the Cruise Manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Alternatively, you can rent bicycles, scooters, or kayaks to explore the National Park or island on your own. In the evening Captain’s dinner on board.

DAY 8 – MLJET NATIONAL PARK – HVAR (THURSDAY)

Take a break for a swim during your morning cruise. Continue sailing during lunch, afternoon arriving this afternoon in Hvar, a charming seaside town with 8 centuries of architecture, and a favorite holiday destination for international celebrities. During a walking tour, visit the many historical sights of the town, such as St. Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor, the first municipal theatre in Europe. Above the town is the impressive fortress Fortica offering magnificent views over the bay and Pakleni islands. Your evening is free in Hvar. You can explore more and dine on your own in one of the many restaurants in town.

DAY 9 – HVAR – SPLIT (FRIDAY)

In the morning, we head to our final port, Split, with a stop along the way to swim, cool off and relax, if weather permits, and enjoy lunch on board. In the late afternoon we arrive in Split. Take a walking tour of the historic inner city which will take us to the Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We see remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Your Evening is free in Split.

DAY 10 – SPLIT – DEPARTURE (SATURDAY)

After breakfast, it is time to disembark. You will be transferred to Split airport.

 

OPTION 2 – MAJESTIC CROATIA FROM ZAGREB TO DUBROVNIK

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN ZAGREB (THURSDAY)

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner us on us tonight.

DAY 4 – SPLIT – TROGIR (KRKA NATIONAL PARK) (SUNDAY)

In the morning join a guided tour of Split, visit the seafront promenade and Roman Emperor
Diocletian’s Palace. The historical center of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set sail to the old Dalmatian town Trogir. Trogir is sometimes referred to as “miniature Venice” or a “mini-Dubrovnik” because of its ancient walls, or a “floating museum town” – as it has masterful architecture including some stunning Venetian palaces. After disembarking in Trogir we take the us to visit Krka National Park. You will discover the pristine nature and waterfalls of Krka National Park, an area extremely rich with flora and fauna. Overnight in Trogir.

DAY 5 – TROGIR – STARI GRAD (MONDAY)

Morning guided tour of Trogir with a local tour guide. Afterwards, enjoy sailing towards Stari Grad on the Island of Hvar, swim stop and lunch on board. Stari Grad is one of the oldest towns in Europe with many friendly and affordable conobas and restaurants in the backstreets of the old town. The Stari Grad Plain and the old town centre of Stari Grad have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2008. Your evening is free to explore Stari Grad on your own.

DAY 6 – STARI GRAD – HVAR – VIS (TUESDAY)

Leaving Stari Grad in the morning towards the city of Hvar. A sightseeing tour of Hvar town shows you many historical sites, such as St. Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor, the first municipal theatre in Europe. Above the town is the impressive fortress Fortica offering magnificent views over the bay and Pakleni islands. Afterwards continue to Vis. The town of Vis is on the northern side of the island and was developed near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban centre in Croatia, formed by the Greeks in the 4th century B.C. Visit the remains of the Roman Baths, church of our Lady and City Museum, or take a walk enjoying the view of the beautiful Villae Rusticae situated along the coast. Your evening is free in Vis.

DAY 7 – VIS – BIŠEVO – KORČULA (WEDNESDAY)

Leaving Vis, we will have an early morning cruise towards Biševo island to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon on the islet Biševo just in front of the town of Komiža. The possibility of our visit will depend on weather conditions; however, you will be notified of this on time. Afterwards, cruise towards Korčula, and the island’s main settlement, known as the birthplace of Marco Polo, one of the world’s most famous explorers of all time. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean. Korčula has a variety of different restaurants, bars, and clubs for those looking for evening entertainment. Overnight in Korčula.

DAY 8 – KORČULA – MLJET NATIONAL PARK – SLANO (THURSDAY)

In the morning head further south to the island or Mljet. Join the Cruise Manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Alternatively, you can rent bicycles, scooters, or kayaks to explore the National Park or island on your own. Lunch on board and departure for a small village called Slano on the mainland. Slano is a peaceful fishermen’s village, and the starting point to Ston, situated on the Pelješac peninsula, a fortified small village famous for its oysters. Pelješac peninsula is known as one of the best wine-producing regions in Croatia. After exploring the town, we will make our way to a small village to enjoy the authentic local oyster tasting.

Tonight, enjoy the Captain’s dinner and overnight in Slano.

DAY 9 – SLANO – ELAPHITI ISLANDS – DUBROVNIK (FRIDAY)

Early morning cruise to Elaphiti Islands with a swimming stop on one of the secluded bays.
Continue sail to Dubrovnik, and, before we moor at port, we cruise alongside the old city walls. After docking, join a guided tour at the historical center of Dubrovnik, walk through Stradun – both a street and a square, the most famous place inside the town walls, enlisted as a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. You guide will show you the most interesting sights of the Old Town and visit the Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy. After the city tour, you will be on your own to explore the city, visit the City Walls, the Rector’s Palace, and the Cathedral, or take a boat ride to Lokrum island or take a cable car to the top of Mount Srđ. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
