GUIDED TOURS - BIG OR SMALL.
I really think that guided tours have had a bad rap. It doesn't have to be 60 people packed onto a bus. In fact that is generally not the case these days - and certainly won't be in the post pandemic world. So why do I like guided tours -
- Well first of all I am pretty lazy so it is always wonderful to be driven somewhere by a competent driver while the guide preps you for the visit. Even if you think you know the place well you will be surprised at how much you don't know. I found this when I visited Northern Ireland - a place where I once lived - the guides were fascinating and knowledgeable and really made my trip worth while.
- I like being able to get access into hard to get to places. When I toured Venice with Uniworld we had after hours access to St Marks Basilica and it was FANTASTIC. After having toured the Vatican in high season this was truly a pleasure.
- When choosing a guided tour you also have the ability to go with a much smaller group at a reasonable amount compared with a private tour. As a solo traveller this offers the chance to share the experience of touring and for everyone a chance to make new friends - or find people you want to avoid at all costs!
- There are a wide range of tours to choose from and our agents have experience in all these. We can find the best tour for YOU! It's what we do.
