I just got off a two day inaugural trip on the new Oceania Vista and wow ...what a beautiful ship. If you like good food and fine dining ...and who doesn't.... this is the ship for you. Oceania was originally started by a couple of foodies and that is apparent in the incredible options on board. For example when I had dinner in the Italian restaurant the waiter wheeled over a table containing a whole collection of different olive oils for me to choose depending on whether I wanted mild or full on peppery after taste. yum.
The ship is beautiful with intimate spaces, calming decor and special touches in all of the suites. For example beautiful crystal glasses in your stateroom and an amazing large shower with a rain shower head and, in a nod to our taller brethren, a very high ceiling as I have heard stories of some having to stoop down in the shower because they are so tall. That won’t happen here. Beautiful high end soaps and so many other special features that make Oceania so popular.
Just 612 staterooms on board make this small ship intimate.
I was only on for two days but will definitely be planning a longer cruise in the not too distant future. Oh and I should mention they have the most delicious small batch special ice cream on board. One was called Elvis, the Fat Years - apparently with bacon chunks in it!!!
